Description 

As an Mechatronic Design Engineer, you will be part of a energetic team of embedded system engineers, software engineers, and data scientists. Together we create sensors for the future of agrotechnology. Being responsible for designing the electro-mechanial set-up, you will be central to the implementation of prototypes, manufacturing transitions and successful market launch.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement technological concepts and structural requirements in an agile team environment.
  • Design electromechanical assemblies, with careful consideration of performance, usability, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
  • Assemble and test demonstrators and prototypes in the laboratory, and present your achievements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and external partners to define manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Prepare concepts for acceptance tests and quality assurance.
  • Generate technical documentation.

Minimum qualifications

  • BS degree in mechatronics engineering or similar field.
  • Profound work experience in designing electromechanical products.
  • Proficiency using CAD and PCB design software.
  • Self-driven with the ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary and focused team environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with optical sensor and/or robotics is a strong plus.
  • An in-depth understanding of electrical components, wiring, and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machine shop tools, solder stations etc.
  • Experience with manufacturing technologies for optics, electronics and mechanical components.

Salary will be determined based on professional experience; the formal minimum salary according to Austrian Collective Agreement is EUR 37560 p.a.

Description 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a team building a revolutionary imaging device. This device uses a novel camera system to close medical gaps. The imaging system mixes commodity electronics and computer vision solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll use your strong system software architecture and programming skills to develop products that interface with human beings to help them live happier, healthier lives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions from first prototype to minimum viable product and market launch.
  • Design, prototype and implement an image management system for medical devices (interfacing with the camera SDK, calibration, illumination synchronization, image stream and display).
  • Collaborate with scientists from universities and other research organizations.
  • Integrate with industry standards and clinical database systems (i.e. DICOM, HL7).
  • Effectively implement test driven development (TDD) strategies.

Minimum qualifications

  • BS degree in computer sciences or equivalent professional experience with 3+ year in software development.
  • Profound knowledge and experience with C++ and Qt framework.
  • Familiar with writing software on hardware products.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with GPU-based technologies.
  • Linux Systems experience: able to create, profile, and debug software effectively.
  • Familiarity with programming Embedded Systems (ARM Cortex MCU).
  • Experience with embedded vision and artificial intelligence.
  • Regulatory Experience: Understand fundamentals of writing code under quality assurance requirements (IEC 62304).

Salary will be determined based on professional experience; the formal minimum salary according to Austrian Collective Agreement is EUR 40188 p.a.

Description 

As a Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will work directly with our clinical partners and team of experts in data science and software engineering. Together we create optical systems for the future of ophthalmology. Being responsible for meeting regulatory and quality standards, you will develop, manage and execute regulatory strategies to obtain market clearances for innovative products.

You work with internal and external customers to support complex, multidisciplinary projects throughout the entire project lifecycle and support the development and maintenance of processes and act as a liaison between teams to ensure that quality medical products are designed, developed and marketed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory leadership on early stage products conducting clinical trials, evaluate proposed products for regulatory classification.
  • Implement regulatory strategies, submissions, and trainings to OCCYO staff on applicable standards.
  • Prepare regulatory surveillance audits according to ISO 13485.
  • Create technical documentation and regulatory submissions.
  • Perform risk management, post-market notifications, advisory notices, field actions, and recalls; and review of labeling, marketing, and promotional materials.

Minimum qualifications

  • BS degree or higher in a technical or scientific field.
  • +3 years experience with quality management systems (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
  • Must have strong writing, editing and analytical skills, and have experience in developing complex submissions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong and communicative team player with an analytical mindset and a high level of initiative.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with risk management according to ISO 14971.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable standards (i.e. IEC 60601, IEC 62304).
  • Experience with FDA submissions.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Salary will be determined based on professional experience; the formal minimum salary according to Austrian Collective Agreement is EUR 47350 p.a.
